Epiwafers
Our epiwafers are precisely engineered; atomic layers of compound semiconductor material are deposited onto a variety of precision substrate material types. IQE is the only supplier with the scale and expertise across all major epitaxy platforms (MOCVD and MBE) combined with the industry’s broadest portfolio of materials, including GaAs, InP, GaSb and GaN. Depending on the technology and material, we offer wafer sizes from 50 mm to 300 mm, enabling both cutting-edge R&D and high-volume manufacturing.
IQE’s wafers enable state of the art performance in devices that demand high speed, efficiency and reliability, serving applications from wireless communications and photonics to displays and power electronics. Applications include:

Substrates
Substrates are the starting point for the epitaxy process, providing the foundation upon which epiwafers are built. Through our subsidiaries Wafer Technology and Galaxy Compound Semiconductors, IQE offers one of the industry’s most comprehensive portfolios, including GaAs, InP, GaSb, InSb and InAs substrates.
